Question 257: To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the reason the board of management of a school (details supplied) has not engaged with the TUI on the matter of the grievance procedure invoked on behalf of their member as per the agreed procedures between the TUI, ASTI and ACCS; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is a matter for the Board of Management as the employer, in consultation with the relevant school management body and trade union, to conduct grievance procedures in respect of a teacher. My Department has no function in this area.
