While arrangements for the staffing of the Constituency Offices in my Department are not yet finalised, these Offices will be staffed in accordance with the agreed reduced staffing limits decided by the Government.
In addition to the appointment of a Personal Secretary, which is currently being arranged, I have also initiated arrangements for the appointment of a Personal Assistant, in line with the Instructions on Ministerial Appointments for the 31st Dail. An Executive Officer, from my Department's existing staff complement, is currently assigned to work on constituency matters and I also intend to assign a Clerical Officer. Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr. Willie Penrose, T.D., has appointed a Personal Secretary and Personal Assistant who are assigned to work on constituency matters, along with a Clerical Officer from my Department's existing staff complement.
The Minister of State, Deputy O'Dowd, has no staff assigned to constituency matters in my Department.
The details of those already assigned to constituency matters are as follows:
Office | Grade/Position | Monthly Salary |
Minister, Deputy Hogan | Executive Officer | €3,497 |
Minister of State, Deputy Penrose | Personal Secretary | €3,661 |
Personal Assistant | €4,057 | |
Clerical Officer | €2,780 |
