Question 85: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the number and location of positron emission tomography scanners; the number of same which are operational at present; the number of PET scans conducted and the locations at which they were carried out in 2008, 2009 and to date in 2010; the number of PET scans which were referred from the Health Service Executive south to hospitals in Dublin in 2008 and 2009 and to date in 2010; the total cost of same to the HSE south for each of these years; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
