Question 260: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of departmental staff, including political staff and special advisers, who are in receipt of a pension on foot of previous public sector employment; the values of these pensions per employee per annum; the salaries each of these employees is currently paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I assume that the Deputy is referring to individuals who are in full time employment with my Department who are in receipt of a pension in respect of previous public sector employment. Records in respect of past employment of existing employees are not maintained in such a way as to easily facilitate their extraction from the files of some 2200 staff members.
