Question 875: To ask the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if a person (details supplied) in County Cork is entitled to widows pension; if so, if this entitlement arises from social welfare contributions paid; the reason she is unwilling to pay them the pension at the address they have provided her with; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The person concerned was in receipt of a Widow's Contributory Pension from 6 January 1995 to 3 April 2003. Payment of pension ceased on 4 April 2003 as the Department was unable to establish the whereabouts and continuing eligibility of the customer. The Department has now received communications from agents on behalf of the customer and is in the process of making enquiries to establish her entitlement.
