Question 152: To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if the high level manufacturing group promised in Towards 2016 has been established; the membership of the group; if each member is an ex-officio appointment; the qualifications of each member; if the group has not yet been established, the reason for the delay in establishing the group; the expected timetable of the groups work; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The High Level Group on Manufacturing has been established. The composition of the Group which is in accordance with the standard tripartite model for Social Partnership Groups is set out in the following appendix.
The first meeting of the group is scheduled to take place in early February. It will be a matter for the Group to determine its modus operandi and schedule of meetings. The Group will be required to report periodically to the partnership process.
