Question 1716: To ask the Minister for Education and Science if her Department has carried out studies into the projected enrolment in primary schools in Youghal for September 2007; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that some schools may have to refuse enrolment of pupils due to overcrowding; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I would like to inform the Deputy that from data available to my Department, pupil enrolments in the primary schools in the Youghal area are relatively stable. None of the primary schools in the area have submitted applications under the Permanent Accommodation Scheme 2007 or for the Rental of Temporary Accommodation for additional classroom accommodation for September next.
