To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality in cases in which an employee is issued with an IRP card, when they apply for their atypical skills permit and the location changes but not the company, if they need to change their IRP card to match their new location on their critical skills permit. I can advise the Deputy that an Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card does not include the details of an individuals location of employment.
In the scenario referred to by the Deputy, such people should contact the Registration Office of my Department using the Customer Service Portal, where a note will be put on their file to reflect this change. Such individuals do not need to submit a new online renewal application or obtain a new IRP card.
