The CLAR programme provides funding under a number of different measures for small-scale infrastructural projects in designated rural areas. The funding is provided for community facilities and amenities, community vehicles and specific support for island communities.

On the 10th of March I was delighted to launch the 2026 CLAR programme with a budget of €12 million across three different measures.

This year, following a review of CLÁR areas, I have also designated an additional 110 electoral divisions as eligible for CLÁR.
