Medical Review and Assessment Section conducts assessments for multiple medical related schemes such as Carer’s Allowance, Carer’s Benefit, Carer Support Grant, Disability Allowance, Invalidity Pension, Domiciliary Care Allowance etc.

As the number of applications for every scheme differs in term of volume and complexities, coupled with seasonal variations, the turnaround time will naturally vary amongst the schemes.

The average time across the schemes for medical opinion for claims is between 3 weeks to 5 weeks.

Hope this clarifies for the Deputy.
