Ireland is a member of the North Seas Energy Cooperation (NSEC), which is a forum to support and facilitate the development of the offshore electricity and hydrogen grid development and the large renewable energy potential in the North Seas region.

Through this forum, my officials are aware of Belgium’s Princess Elisabeth Energy Island project. Ireland has not had any specific direct involvement in the project.
