403. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills for an update on a school (details supplied) seeking a permanent roll number; if the decision to refuse this can be reviewed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16210/26]

I refer to the Deputy's enquiry concerning an update on a school (details supplied) seeking a permanent roll number.

This school is a pilot project and is attached to a parent Community National School since 2020. The initial arrangement, which was for 3 years, was subsequently extended to 2027.

This extension has allowed for further analysis of the projected demographics in the area around the school and nearby school planning areas. Along with this, the Primary School Survey launched towards the end of 2025 should assist with this task.

While the pilot scheme is in operation it will continue to operate under the roll number of its parent school. As it is a pilot project a roll number cannot be assigned.
