With regard to the specific application about which the Deputy has enquired, the applicant had incorrectly entered their email address on their application, and therefore had not received any emails from the Passport Service requesting additional supporting documentation. I can confirm the Passport Service has been in contact with the applicant to provide assistance and once the outstanding documentation has been provided, the application will be prioritised for checking.

I would ask the Deputy to continue to encourage his constituents to apply online, well in advance of their travel date, for the quickest, cheapest and most efficient service.
