463. To ask the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality the capital funding available in her or other Government departments to finance the building of a Tusla-funded child and family centre that has been provided with land by a local authority and has a grant of planning permission. Thank you, deputy, for your question.
I believe the question is in relation to the Deansrath Child and Family Centre which has been provided land in St Cuthberts Park, Clondalkin D22 by South Dublin County Council.
I would like to confirm that Tusla provides funding under Section 56 and for Family Support Services Counselling to Deansrath Child and Family centre CLG. This is operational funding for commissioned services carried out at this location. However, please be aware that Tusla the Child and Family Agency does not provide capital funding to third parties.
Deansrath Child and Family centre may wish to consider contacting their local council for funding possibilities and also consider pursuing the capital assistance scheme.
