My Department has provided assistance to farmers on many occasions over the years where they have been badly affected by severe weather events. The Fodder Transport Measure and assistance to farmers in the Shannon Callows, Shass Mountain and most recently in the Cooley Peninsula are just some of the examples where my Department has provided such assistance.
In the aftermath of Storm Éowyn my Department has assisted farmers through the TAMS programme for onsite generators and replacement of farm buildings which have been partially damaged.
