The allocation to the Garda Vote under Budget 2026 is in excess of €2.59 billion, which will support the continued development of An Garda Síochána.

The total Garda capital budget for 2026 is €174 million, reflecting this Government’s commitment to a modern and well-resourced policing force.

The budget will fund the completion of the Bailieboro Garda Station and the Drogheda PEMS store (Property & Exhibits Management Store). It will provide for construction to advance on the Newcastle West and Portlaoise Garda Stations, as well as construction to start on new stations at Macroom and Clonmel. A new PEMS store at Tallaght will also advance next year.

This funding will also allow for €5 million worth of refurbishment works in Garda stations across the country.

A new capital programme for Garda Stations will be finalised and published by An Garda Síochána in due course.
