Between 2021 and 2024, the annual average expenditure by the State Claims Agency State indemnity related to Community & Comprehensive schools was €0.93m.
The estimated annual average cost per student for the same period was approximately €14.
The estimated gross cost of the Community and Comprehensive schools of accessing private insurance prior to the extension of State indemnity is not readily available, and the Department will follow up with the Deputy directly.
