As Minister of State for International and Road Transport, Logistics, Rail, and Ports, I wish to advise that the Department of Transport’s role in relation to disabled parking bays is limited to the drafting of legislation.

Local authority traffic wardens and An Garda Síochána are responsible for enforcing disabled parking bays. The Deputy may wish to contact the enforcement bodies directly for information on the deployment of IT solutions to assist with enforcement.
