Further to the update provided recently, I am aware of the essential work undertaken by architectural professionals and the existence of an architectural technologists register established on an administrative basis by CIAT. Work is being undertaken by my Department concerning the introduction of a statutory register of architectural technologists and subject to the outcome of this, future legislative proposals to amend the Building Control Act 2007, to provide for a statutory register of Architectural Technologists will be considered.
