The Passport Service is successfully responding to demand, and has issued over 833,000 passports to date this year. Virtually all complete passport applications are being processed within or before advertised turnaround times.

With regards to the deputy's query, please see the table below for the number of passports issued in each of the first nine months of 2025:

Month Passports Issued
Jan 89,729
Feb 91,213
Mar 97,293
Apr 99,489
May 99,722
Jun 82,636
Jul 81,956
Aug 61,902
Sep 69,498

I ask the Deputy to encourage her constituents to apply online for the quickest, cheapest and most efficient service. Passport Online can be used by citizens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Passport Online service is available for all types of applications, including renewal and first time applications for newborns, children, and adults.
