I propose to take Questions Nos. 1311 to 1313, inclusive, together.
The Government agreed to close the Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP) to further applications from 15 February 2023. Since the closure of the programme, my Department has continued to process remaining applications for consideration and final decision.
The Independent Evaluation Committee, which assesses project proposals under the IIP, did however commit to exploring new ways to potentially expedite the examination of projects and reduce overall waiting times.
As part of that commitment, the IIP Unit issued correspondence to IIP project owners earlier this year, advising that the Evaluation Committee had agreed to afford projects a final chance to provide further information before they proceed to make a final decision. Only information submitted before the deadline will be considered by the Evaluation Committee. No further opportunity will be provided thereafter.
The IIP is fundamentally a programme for investors, not for projects. The investor is the primary applicant and makes an application for an immigration permission and nominates a proposed project as part of that application. How a project sources alternative streams of funding outside of the IIP is a matter for their own determination.

At the outset, it is important to note that, as Minister, I do not comment on individual Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP) applications.
Since the closure of the programme, my Department has continued to process and submit applications to the Evaluation Committee for consideration and recommendation.
My Department issued correspondence to IIP project owners earlier this year, advising that the Evaluation Committee had agreed to afford projects a final chance to provide further information before they proceed to make a final decision. Only information submitted before the deadline will be considered by the Evaluation Committee. No further opportunity will be provided thereafter.
If a project owner has any queries in relation to information required before the deadline, they can contact the IIP Unit directly.
My Department is committed to ensuring that all applications will be examined on their own merits and will endeavour to conclude all decisions in a timely manner.
I can advise the Deputy that further details concerning the processing of outstanding IIP applications is published on the Immigration Service website of my Department, including an FAQ document. Both can be accessed at the following link: www.irishimmigration.ie/processing-of-iip-applications-on-hand-following-the-closure-of-the-programme/
