To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport when he will complete his consideration of a request from the Dublin Port Company, in line with the provision of the Dublin Port superannuation scheme 1996, for his consent to a 2.5% increase in pensions in payment and in deferment under the scheme and if he will address the delay in concluding this matter. Consideration of this issue is nearing completion and it is intended that a letter will issue shortly from my Department to Dublin Port Company advising them of the decision on the Company's request for a pension increase.
