To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he has engaged with the National Transport Authority and Dublin Bus in respect of the scheduling of services over the Christmas period; if his attention has been drawn to issues regarding same (details supplied); and the steps he will take in order to remedy and or mediate in the situation. As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for the development of public transport policy and its funding. However, I am not involved in the day-to-day management and operational aspects of public transport. That is the responsibility of the National Transport Authority (NTA) in conjunction with public transport operators, in this case Dublin Bus.
I have, therefore, forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA in the first instance for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days
