To ask the Minister for Health the specific matters of concern or interest that have prolonged matters in view of three years consultation and work with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications and the HSE on finalising arrangements for the commencement of section 19 of the Public Health Alcohol Act 2018; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Engagement with the Broadcasting Authority; the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment and the Health Service Executive on issues related to compliance and enforcement of section 19 took place in 2019. That engagement was suspended throughout 2020 and much of 2021 due to resources being diverted to Covid-19 related areas. Work on commencement of the provision has now restarted.
