To ask the Minister for Health his views on reports that seriously ill children are being put at risk by being transported abroad for treatment on extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation machines which are already available in Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To ask the Minister for Health if Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin has ECMO machines available which are not used to treat respiratory illnesses due to a lack of funding from the HSE; if so, the number of machines that are available in this case; and the estimated cost in having them operational.
