To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will consider extending the deadline for the completion of TAMS projects due to the restrictions of Covid-19 in circumstances in which construction and access to building materials is severely impacted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department introduced changes to the TAMS II scheme deadlines on 1 April 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Flexibility was provided on completion deadlines with a 3 month extension on all projects due to completed (or approvals due to expire) between 1 March and 1 July.
As this is a constantly evolving situation, my Department is monitoring the situation closely and will implement further changes if and when they are needed.
