640. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the reason she has postponed the publication of the report carried out by the Data Protection Commission into the public services card while waiting for a meeting between both parties when this will have no bearing on the contents of the report; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 639 and 640 together.
In the interest of transparency, I intend to publish the Data Protection Commission’s Report on the Public Services Card and my Department’s Summary Response to the Report later today – Tuesday 17thSeptember.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
