1133. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if consideration has been given to relocating the Maynooth, Celbridge and Leixlip housing unit allocations to the rest of the County Kildare region; if Maynooth, Leixlip and Celbridge are now considered part of the greater Dublin area allocation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The allocation of social housing under section 22 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009, is a matter for the relevant local authority concerned. In terms of social housing allocations, Maynooth, Leixlip and Celbridge are part of County Kildare. Therefore, the allocation of vacant social housing units in these areas is currently the responsibility of Kildare County Council and there are no plans to change this.
