542. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork requires a long form birth certificate to get a public services card. [21048/18]

The person concerned has produced documents sufficient to complete SAFE registration and, therefore, will receive a Public Services Card. An appointment will be arranged for the person concerned to return to the office to complete the process.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
