The Office of Public Works (OPW) has not received any application for funding from Mayo County Council under the OPW Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme in relation to works at the Keenagh, Deelbridge, Comminch and Tubrid More areas of Ballina in County Mayo.
It is open to the Council to undertake any such works using its own resources or to submit an application for funding if necessary under the OPW Minor Works Scheme. Any application received will be assessed under the scheme's eligibility criteria which includes a requirement that any measures are cost beneficial, and having regard to the overall availability of funding. Application forms and related guidelines are available on the OPW website under Flood Risk Management.
