80. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform his plans to reinstate the rent allowance for new public servants including gardaí, prison officers and fire officers, which was abolished in early 2012; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9560/15]

The Rent Allowance was discontinued for all new beneficiaries from 31 January 2012 and there are no plans to reinstate this allowance.
