This is a Dublin City Council project, towards which my Department is providing funding. Progress has been made on the route on the south side of the city. As a recent decision of the Council in relation to construction of a proposed bridge over the River Tolka will affect development on the north side of the city, my Department has requested the City Council to assess the implications and review proposals for the northern section of the route. Pending receipt of this, I am not in a position to comment on the timescale for the completion of the overall project.
