Question 568: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the procedures in place for the disposal of a firearm in respect of which a licence has not been granted; if guns are to be handed into restricted firearms dealers then the process to be followed then for their disposal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand from the Garda Authorities that each Garda Division is in the process of putting the necessary arrangements in place. I do not have details to hand but I will write to him, with the information, as soon as it becomes available.
