Catherine Murphy: We are seeing emails where people were seemingly making requests but there have to be controls against which those requests are matched. Where were the controls? There was a fallout from this whereby funding was withheld. It had quite a substantial impact on soccer and the FAI. Where were the controls?

Obviously sport was incredibly important at that time, particularly at grassroots level. Was it intended that those funds would be used to keep the grassroots elements going? It seems extraordinary that there was a huge reduction in debt...
