Very disappointing reply from An Taoiseach. Taoiseach you have no idea what we are going through here in Castlemartyr. Serious flooding here in Castlemartyr 2009/ 2015 & 2023. Residents out of their homes each time.
A young family still out of their home 2 yrs on from Storm Babet. To date 2.75m has been awarded for Interim Works per project and we have only received 0.03% -80k for removing overhanging branches, clearing debris,a section of dredging. All maintenance work, which should be undertaken on a regular basis. Where is the rest of the money going? We are certainly not getting it here in Castlemartyr to allow families live in their homes without fear. The section of the River Kiltha breaking its banks is less than 2km and it is besting the OPW to fix the problem.
