With regards to the Cliffs of Moher 2040 Strategy, the consultants are setting as a sole Measure of Success (MOS) the gross number of visitors - however they arrive in Clare. This will ensure that day tour coaches (which clog up our small roads and villages) will always feature highly as "numbers" is what they deliver.
The measure of success should be "Bednights in the County"? The approach would encourage FIT travelers and coach tours that stopped at least one night in the county. The result would be to boost the local economy, increase local jobs and, increased revenue generated within the county.
