John McElligott (Safety Before LNG)

Wow.

So, in a debate on Climate Change, Senator Ned O'Sullivan states "I am not an expert on fracking but I do know that without it we would not have petrol or diesel for our cars".

In supporting this Bill to outlaw investment by the State's Strategic Investment Fund in fossil fuel projects like Shannon LNG in the interests of climate protection, the Senator then argues for the development of the largest and dirtiest fossil-fuel Shannon LNG project at all costs. Is that not a contradiction Senator?

Then the Senator attacks groups with no connection to Kerry campaigning against the Shannon LNG project. Hello! Am I reading this correctly? Climate Change caused in Kerry will effect the planet so anybody anywhere is entirely entitled to have their say on this proposed project.

Finally, there are no jobs at stake in this project because nothing is built on what is currently grassland which is being actively farmed.

And then the Senator describes himself as an Environmentalist all his life.

Wow. Bravo Senator. When you are in a hole, stop digging.
