Does our public representatives, ie. our T.D's and our government Ministers, represent the people of Ireland or do they assume the mantle of representing the financial institutions and the Insurance Companies that operate here in Ireland?
This comment from Paschal Donohoe is clearly another case of passing the book in being just another Irish political spokesman for Europe.
If our Irish government were to represent its people properly, they should inform the Insurance Companies who operate here in Ireland that if they fail to give an insurance quote to any Irish citizen or anybody else who owns an older car that has a government N.C.T. on the said car, the said Insurance Companies should be duly informed that they are no longer welcome to do business here in Ireland ever again unless they rethink their policies in dealing with the general public.
