The EDI funding is an annual fund provided on a competitive basis by the Higher Education Authority. It targets the policy areas the HEA has under its domain with regard to equality, diversity and inclusion.

That would include race equality, gender equality and ending sexual violence and harassment, as well as broader intersectional aspects of equality, including, for example, disability. It is a competitive fund but we undertake collaborative and collective work in terms of bidding for it. There is no guarantee but there have been a number of successes. Both Ms Kavanagh and Ms Molloy have mentioned a number of projects that have been funded under it. Sectoral projects often involve most of the higher education institutions. Sometimes, four or five are involved and, other times, there is involvement across the whole sector.

One of the more recent sectoral projects involved men engaging in advocating for and supporting work in this area. That has been undertaken over the past year or year and a half and has gone forward again for a second round of funding. It is one particular example. Ms Kavanagh might wish to say more about it.
