I welcome all of the witnesses. I was struck by how we were told about all of the things they are doing to make things safer and yet, we know because we have heard from all of the advocacy groups, we have heard from parents and we have heard from children that they are seeing inappropriate content, including a group of schoolchildren I had in yesterday who I asked them again about social media.

I will start with Meta. It talks about safeguards. What is the company actually doing in terms of the recommender systems and the algorithms? We know kids are seeing inappropriate content so it really is incumbent upon Meta to make sure there is safety by design built into the algorithms and that kids are seeing age-appropriate content.
