On the issue that is on the table at the moment or the issue that has been subject to public commentary over recent days, from our perspective we have received reports and referrals of content on that particular platform that is under investigation.

As the Deputy knows, the investigative process takes some time. The content has to be assessed in order to make sure it is criminal. Thereafter, the people responsible have to be identified, if possible. The investigative action stems from there. What follows is the investigative process. That may result in various different actions, such as execution of warrants, interview of people responsible, and bringing those people before the courts where the DPP directs. More support for the regulatory environment has been put in place recently. We have been in contact with Coimisiún na Meán over the past number of days. We will be meeting it again tomorrow to discuss this matter further and bring it forward in the context of what support we can offer to the commission in the context of its functions in this area.
