I congratulate the Minister of State on her new role.

It is very important to acknowledge the significant investment in disability services in the recent budget. The additional €618 million, a 20% increase on previous years, is coming from a lower base but it shows that the Government is absolutely committed to increasing investment in the disability services. That has to be acknowledged. It is year one of five years in terms of the budget side of things. Disability is in the Department of the Taoiseach and it is very important that is noted.

From my side of the house, will the Minister talk to us about adult day services? When young people leave school they need a safe and engaged place to go during the day. It is a challenge out there. I ask the Minister to elaborate on that a little.
