As somebody who teachers media and communication studies at third level, which I have been doing for over 30 years, it still appals me that media studies is not a core part of the curriculum at primary and secondary school level and then, as Mr. Mahon said, for the general public. It is a basic literacy. It is as basic as maths and being able to read and write in your own language. It is just critical thinking-----
