I agree with Dr. O'Malley completely. The issue is maybe less a focus on a directly elected mayor because it is there and more of a focus on the transfer of powers to Limerick or to the local government institution. It is a matter of the devolution agenda as much as a matter of a directly elected mayor agenda, and the more we can focus on that devolution process the better.
