22. To ask the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence for an update on the training that the Defence Forces have provided to Ukraine; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22032/24]

Following the Government approval of February 2023 and July 2023, Ireland has been participating in the EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) through the provision of training to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

To date, the Defence Forces has delivered 11 modules of training to Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) personnel via EUMAM Ukraine. A total of 455 UAF personnel have been trained to date via these training modules.

The modules delivered by the Defence Forces to date are as follows:

All training delivered by the Defence Forces has taken place on the territory of other EU Member States; Germany, Cyprus and Poland. In all cases, the training provided or planned to be provided by the Defence Forces are and will continue to be consistent with the Government approval in place as well as the EUMAM mission mandate.
