The Government will let slip the mask and resort to the State's monopoly on force to enforce ideological orthodoxy through its hate speech legislation. Now, the eyes of the world are on Ireland. I do not believe the Government truly knows how much of a turning point this is.I fear for what will happen but let it be known that there were many chances for things to go differently but that the Government did not take them. Tomorrow's motion by Fine Gael Members is nothing short of disgraceful. The first mention of the victims is on the very last line of the motion. It is absolutely disgraceful. It is just political theatre.
