I very much welcome the announcement made by the Minister for the Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht on the adopt a woodland in Killarney National Park conservation project. Early in March I spoke about the ongoing threat posed by Rhododendron ponticumto the native oak woodland in Killarney.
