Ivor Callely (Fianna Fail)

To a great extent the motion and amendment before the House are overshadowed by the severe global difficulties and the impact on our economy. It was interesting to hear the last speaker, who made a few very valid points.

It amazes me that a Senator should state in this Chamber that Members should stay away from economic arguments at a time in our history when we probably face the most severe economic difficulties.
