Harney neglected to mention the urgent legislation recommended by Madden almost five years ago has yet to be introduced and the findings and recommendations of the Willis Audit have yet to be implemented. Almost 34,000 unclaimed organs lie in Irish hospitals today because nobody knew they were taken and retained. What a fallacious response from Harney.
