Will the Minister of State confirm that Ireland's support for the association agreements is not based on geopolitical manoeuvring on the part of this country or the European Union and that the agreement with Ukraine is a relatively minor step towards addressing its severe structural and economic problems?

The communiqué is clear that youth unemployment is a serious issue across the European Union and an area that is not showing improvement. Does the Minister of State accept that much of the language used in the text is hopelessly ambiguous on issues such as youth unemployment and economic growth?
